    Twitter isn't fooling around:

"As a result of the unprecedented and ongoing violent situation in Washington, D.C., we have required the removal of three realDonaldTrump Tweets that were posted earlier today for repeated and severe violations of our Civic Integrity policy. This means that the account of realDonaldTrump will be locked for 12 hours following the removal of these Tweets. If the Tweets are not removed, the account will remain locked. Future violations of the Twitter Rules, including our Civic Integrity or Violent Threats policies, will result in permanent suspension of the realDonaldTrump account."

Twitter getting brave only now that he's lost the election, and now clearly lost the support of other republican politicians after losing Georgia for their senators.

This allows them to pretend they acted boldly and bravely to rein in Trump's tweeting when they testify in Congress later in the year. But they've carefully tailored their actions to avoid offending the powerful (ie other politicians who might pass regulations)

In reality Twitter has done as little as possible for as long as possible and let him spread hatred, conspiracies, discord, and undermine America via their platform for more than 4 years.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism" - George Orwell
"[Capitalism] as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy" - Albert Einstein

What's interesting is that they took down the video where he told protesters to go home.

You should track down the video and watch it. It will become obvious why they took it down.

The following is taken from a Bloomberg article.

            *********************

As U.S. president, Donald Trump receives special treatment from Twitter Inc. when he violates the company’s rules around offensive or misleading content. That exemption will end in January if he loses the presidency.

The social network treats transgressions from world leaders differently than those from regular users, and often leaves up tweets that violate its content policies, adding a warning instead of forcing users to delete the posts. This is part of Twitter’s philosophy that people should be able to hear from world leaders even when they share controversial posts because their messages are inherently newsworthy.

But former world leaders aren’t protected under that policy. High-profile politicians no longer in office -- like former U.S. President Barack Obama -- are treated like regular users if they violate Twitter’s rules, which prohibit messages that include hate speech or posts that glorify violence or contain certain types of false information, like dangerous health-related misinformation.

It may be a big deal for Trump, but seriously, who cares? Perhaps MySpace will ban Ted Cruz next.

As he fed the fire of the very delusions that produced this event in the first place. As he thanked them and told them how much he loved them!

Is there not one Trump supporter on this website willing to wake up and recognize he is NOT worthy of your support? Are you so utterly blind as to still not see who he is and what he is doing to our nation?

These election fraud claims are ALL LIES. He is just trying to make sure he gets every last dime he can while burning the place down on the way out the door.

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; James 1:19

Ot seems that many are finally seeing political rioting from the other side and don't like it. We've been watching political rioting for 4 years with people killed, government buildings stormed, attempted arson, explosives thrown, attacks made, billions of dollars of damage,, etc.

For four years we've watched people excuse, ignore, play down,, justify, and blame shift that violence, especially in the last year. We've seen those telling lies, those encouraging, those supporting the violence be applauded, be supported. We've seen politicians and celebrities pay the bail and defense of those participating in the violence.

So, now, you want to act as if political violence is new and shocking? You want to act as if after all the low and high key support that this violence has gotten that the other side should ignore your precedent and just sit down quietly?

I don't support Trump, never have. I don't support this riot, but these last 4 years, especially the last 1 make all the democrat cries ring hollow. They supported violence and disruption,, now they get to see the terror they inflicted on the country from the other side and are appalled..

You are clearly unaware of the difference between protests, even violent protests, and sedition and treason. Not one time during the protests of this summer was our the stability democracy directly threatened by a treasonous leader in our federal government. Not one time was our capitol building stormed while in session.

But they do have one thing in common. They were stoked and inflamed by this treasonous and seditious president who has shown his true colors in such a way as to require that any person still supporting him - in any way - be called 'traitor'.

The attacks on our government and government officials, from a plot to kidnap and kill a governor to this act of sedition, are coming from Trump supporters - and he is all in with it, he even caused it directly using the same coded speech so often denied here!

Do you realize that in the end this Traitor refused to ever call in the National guard? Pence did it in defiance of him!

So you may join that rank if you so desire, but if you care one iota about the long term welfare of this country, you will turn around and walk away and seek out another way to resolve whatever disagreements you have with Democratic policy or ideology.

I'll not disagree that the protests this summer turned violent or that some in the democratic side soft pedaled some of it.

                      But this is NOT that!

That's the bottom line here CD. Walk away from this traitor.

Yeah, that's what he means. The video where what Trump actually said is 'Thank you for heeding my call to sedition and treason. I'm going to pretend to ask you to go home now in a CMA ploy of deniability, but you know what I really want and hope for. Thanks again, and keep up the good work'

                        That video

Quite. I understand that false equivalence is all they have left to cling to, but I admit is is as depressing as it is utterly predictable that people would at best offer some lukewarm 'condemnation' then treat what happened yesterday the exact same as protests. Have you read the transcript of the speech Trump gave to his minions before they attempted to storm the capitol?

[Wednesday's trouble began when thousands of Trump supporters gathered on the National Mall to hear the president deliver an inflammatory, lie-laden address claiming the presidential election was "stolen."

"We will never give up," Trump vowed. "We will never concede. It will never happen. You don't concede when there's theft involved. Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore."

Rally-goers then heeded the president's exhortation to march on the Capitol—where lawmakers from both chambers were convening to count the Electoral College votes and certify President-elect Joe Biden's presidential election victory—and "give our Republicans... the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country." Over 150 Republican lawmakers were in the process of contesting the legitimate election results when the chaos erupted.

"You'll never take back our country with weakness," Trump said to robust applause. "You have to show strength, and you have to be strong."

Separately, I note that Lindsay Graham said to count him out of the objections. Good to know that the tipping point id the possible murder of Congress. Enough isn't enough for Lindsay unless he feels his life is in danger.

They did attack government offices, they insisted government officials resign from their elected posts. They attacked democracy. They did it at a more local level.

I condemned the behavior, I gave it the same level of full throated denouncement that was given by democrats and liberals over the political violence this year. If you guys wanted more, you should have actually stood up to it then instead of normalizing it.

Even now you downplay the violence from the left. You guys normalized the political violence. Now your chickens have come home to roost.

It's not false equivolence. The left in this country normalized political violence. They made political violence acceptable. This is political violence. What's going on now is that they are crying because the other side is using political violence against a different target. They kept defending political violence, justifying it, etc. Now that political violence is normalized and justified, they cry because it's being used in a way they didn't forsee. Without the last 4 years of normalizing this behavior, we wouldn't be where we are.

The left wants to turn a blind eye towards the tone they set in this country, the actions they justified, and pretend that somehow they didn't help set the kindling that's burst into flames.
