Riiight. It couldn't possible have been that it was thrown out on actual legal grounds, could it.

And let me guess - where Republican-appointed judges have thrown out Trumpites' lawsuits, they're just RINOs, right?

        Trump’s next moves:

Block the vote-certification process in as many states as possible, either through lawsuits or by encouraging Republican officials to object

Convince Republican-controlled legislatures in states Biden narrowly won to dismiss the results of the popular vote as corrupted by widespread fraud

Have the legislature then award their state's Electoral College votes, which are cast by "electors" on 14 December, to Trump instead of Biden

Do that in enough states - Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, for instance - to pull Trump from his current total of 232 electoral votes past the winning 269-vote mark

Even pulling Biden from 306 votes might work, because then the election would be decided in the House of Representatives, where even though it's controlled by the Democrats, Trump would have an advantage due to some arcane rules

By that same standard can't I just write off every Trump judge as a partisan hack? What a depressing amount of cynicism is required to not just accept that Trump lost a fair election.

The judge just threw out Trump's latest Pennsylvania lawsuit. The judge's written ruling was brutal:

"Plaintiffs ask this Court to disenfranchise almost seven million voters. This Court has been unable to find any case in which a plaintiff has sought such a drastic remedy in the contest of an election, in terms of the sheer volume of votes asked to be invalidated. One might expect that when seeking such a startling outcome, a plaintiff would come formidably armed with compelling legal arguments and factual proof of rampant corruption, such that this Court would have no option but to regrettably grant the proposed injunctive relief despite the impact it would have on such a large group of citizens. That has not happened. Instead, this Court has been presented with strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations, unpled in the operative complaint and unsupported by evidence. In the United States of America, this cannot justify the disenfranchisement of a single voter, let alone all the voters of its sixth most populated state. Our people, laws, and institutions demand more. At bottom, Plaintiffs have failed to meet their burden to state a claim upon which relief may be granted."

Trump shares bizarre videos and tweets by actor Randy Quaid about voter fraud, Fox News

In one video, Quaid recited a tweet from Trump in a creepy voice saying "Fox News daytime ratings have completely collapsed" as lights strobed on his face.

President Donald Trump retweeted a series of bizarre videos and messages by Randy Quaid, including one where the actor alleged voter fraud and another in which he attacked Fox News.

The first video that Trump retweeted Tuesday was a video Quaid originally posted more than a year ago.

“Is this the way America goes? From George Washington to George Soros? From oceans white with foam to a socialist swamp," Quaid says in the video as he sits backwards on a wooden chair.

"Is this the way America goes? Is this really our future? Wake up you sleeping giant, the lilliputians have tied you down with their fantastic dreams of icebergs melting into dinosaurs and train tracks stretching across the Pacific waters. Trump trumpets reveille and it's time to heed the call."

Quaid ends the two-minute-long video by shouting, “A day of reckoning is nigh! Wake up!”

The president then tweeted "No!" as he reposted a Nov. 21 message from Quaid that read: "I just don’t see Americans rolling over for this election fraud. Do you?"

Quaid's tweet and several others shared by the president on Tuesday were flagged by Twitter for making claims that were disputed.

"Thank you Randy, working hard to clean up the stench of the 2020 Election Hoax!" another tweet by Trump read in response to Quaid calling him the "greatest President this country has ever had."

Trump also shared a video in which Quaid used a creepy voice to recite one of the president's tweets attacking Fox News.

"Fox News daytime ratings have completely collapsed, weekend daytime even worse. Very sad to watch this happen," Quaid says in the video as colorful lights flash across his face. "They forgot what made them successful, what got them there. They forgot the Golden Goose. The only difference between the 2016 election and 2020 is Fox News."

Quaid is perhaps best known for his role as Cousin Eddie in National Lampoon's "Vacation" movies. He also appeared in "The Last Detail" in 1973, in which he was nominated for an Academy Award, BAFTA Award and a Golden Globe Award.

In 2015, the actor and his wife were arrested after they tried to cross into the United States from Canada. Quaid was wanted in California on felony vandalism charges filed five years prior after he and his wife were found squatting in a guesthouse of a home they previously owned.

The president's retweets come as Trump continues to contest the election results, which saw Joe Biden become President-elect.

Federal appeals court dismisses Trump campaign lawsuit over Pennsylvania voting procedures

'The campaign’s claims have no merit,' the court said

By Vandana Rambaran | Fox News

A federal appeals court dismissed a lawsuit by the Trump campaign over Pennsylvania's voting procedures on Friday, paving the way for the issue to escalate all the way up to the Supreme Court.

TRUMP CALLS INTO PENNSYLVANIA ELECTION MEETING, REPEATING CLAIMS OF VOTING IRREGULARITIES

Despite Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani arguing to a lower court that widespread voter fraud occurred in a state where President-elect Joe Biden won by over 80,000 votes, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said “the campaign’s claims have no merit.”

The Trump campaign has the option of asking the U.S. Supreme Court for emergency injunctive relief, which would go to Justice Samuel Alito, who would then likely ask his eight colleagues to weigh in.

"The activist judicial machinery in Pennsylvania continues to cover up the allegations of massive fraud. We are very thankful to have had the opportunity to present proof and the facts to the PA state legislature. On to SCOTUS!," Jenna Ellis, Trump's attorney and campaign adviser, said in a statement on Twitter after the court ruling.

Friday's ruling upheld U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann's take on the Trump campaign’s error-filled complaint, which Brann said, “like Frankenstein’s Monster, has been haphazardly stitched together."

The three judges on the panel were all appointed by Republican presidents.

“Free, fair elections are the lifeblood of our democracy. Charges of unfairness are serious. But calling an election unfair does not make it so. Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here,” Judge Stephanos Bibas, a former law school professor, wrote in his ruling.

Trump's Plan A (winning the election) has clearly failed.

Trump's Plan B (using the courts to prove Biden won the election through fraud) has clearly failed.

Trump's Plan C (getting state legislatures to ignore the will of the voters and send slates of Republican electors to the electoral college vote) has clearly failed.

Trump's Plan D (staying in power through the use of White Supremacist organizations) is apparently on hold.

I guess we are on to a new Plan E, where Biden is allowed to take power only if he can prove the election was fair. There is no basis that I know of in US law for this plan, so I can't imagine that it will succeed.

I suspect Plan E will soon be discarded, so we'll have to see if Trump goes back to Plan D, or if he comes up with a new Plan F.

Pa. Supreme Court dismisses Republican congressman's bid to toss mail-in ballots, halt certification

                        Pennsylvania certified Biden's victory Tuesday

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court dismissed a case Saturday night brought by Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pa., and a handful of other Republican voters who sought to overturn last year's law creating no-excuse mail-in voting as well as halt further action in certifying Pennsylvania's votes.

Pennsylvania certified President-elect Joe Biden's victory Tuesday, but Judge Patricia McCullough ordered Wednesday that the state must halt certification "to the extent that there remains any further action to perfect the certification."

Pennsylvania passed universal mail-in voting last year with Act 77, but Kelly sought to overturn that law and deem all mail-in votes in the 2020 election illegal.

"As a remedy, Petitioners sought to invalidate the ballots of the millions of Pennsylvania voters who utilized the mail-in voting procedures established by Act 77 and count only those ballots that Petitioners deem to be 'legal votes,'" the opinion from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court reads.

The court went on to say that petitioners should have challenged the law when it was first passed in 2019, instead of waiting until the election was over a year later.

Trump actions and speech inspire violence over the election.

Georgia elections official slams Trump over voter fraud claims, warns of potential violence

                          BY MAX GREENWOOD

Georgia’s Republican voting system manager on Tuesday unloaded on President Trump, accusing him of provoking violence against officials and election workers with his baseless claims of voter fraud and calling on him to accept his loss in the presidential race.

In fiery remarks at a news conference at the Georgia Capitol, Gabriel Sterling decried the threats of violence that election workers and top officials and their families have received in recent weeks from some of Trump’s supporters who have clung to the president’s claims that the Nov. 3 election was marred by widespread fraud and malfeasance.

“Mr. President, it looks like a likely loss in the state of Georgia,” a visibly shaken Sterling said. “We’re investigating. There’s always a possibility. I get it. You have the rights to go through the court. What you don’t have the ability to do — and you need to step up and say this — is stop inspiring people to commit potential violence. Someone’s going to get hurt. Someone’s going to get shot. Someone’s going to get killed. It’s not right.

“It’s time to look forward,” he continued. “If you want to run for reelection in four years, do it. But everything we’re seeing right now — there’s not a path. Be the bigger man here and stop. Step in and tell your supporters, 'Don’t be violent. Don’t intimidate.' All of that is wrong. It’s not American.”

Sterling’s remarks offered perhaps the most direct criticism of the president’s conduct in the weeks since the election from any Georgia Republican official to date.

Trump, who trails President-elect Joe Biden by more than 6 million votes nationally and by some 12,000 votes in Georgia, has refused to acknowledge his loss and has repeatedly attacked state officials in Georgia. He has also demanded that Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican, use nonexistent emergency powers to “overrule” the state’s election results.

A recount requested last week by the Trump campaign is expected to be completed on Wednesday, though it is unlikely to change the outcome of the election in Georgia.

Sterling, who is in charge of implementing Georgia’s voting system, said the president’s rhetoric has inspired his supporters to turn their wrath not only on high-ranking state officials but on low-level election workers as well.

He pointed to an employee of a voting systems company in his 20s who has been harassed recently, calling the threats “the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

“His family is getting harassed now,” Sterling said. “There’s a noose out there with his name on it.

“This kid took a job,” he continued. “He just took a job.”

Sterling also condemned threats against Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) and his family.

“My boss, Secretary Raffensperger, his address is out there,” Sterling said. “They’ve had people doing caravans in front of their house. They’ve had people come onto their property. Tricia, his wife of 40 years, is getting sexualized threats through her cellphone. It has to stop.”
While Sterling called out Trump by name, he denounced others who have remained silent about the post-election conduct of the president and his supporters.

“This is elections. This is the backbone of democracy. And all of you who have not said a damn word are complicit in this,” he said. “It’s too much. Yes, fight for every legal vote. Go through your due process. We encourage you. Use your First Amendment. That’s fine.”

“Death threats, physical threats, intimidation — it’s too much. It’s not right. They’ve lost the moral high ground to claim that it is,” he added.

Although I believe there is obvious fraud - enough to warrant new special elections in some swing states - I wouldn't support any other remedy.

So short of special elections, I say "Allow Biden in. BUT - no more mail-in ballots. A constitutional amendment needs to be submitted to stop this from ever happening again in any national election. Why should the majority of states and US citizens be victimized by fraud in a handful of corrupt states?

Obvious fraud? There is no evidence that the extent of fraud Trump and his gang claim exists. Now are you claiming only the states that Trump lost by a narrow margin had fraudulent elections, which are the ones he won by a small margin in the last election?

What documented evidence can you put forward that this is the case, which would be acceptable to the courts?

Barr and the courts disagree with you that such evidence exists.

                              Frank

I do not know, therefore everything is in pencil.

I'm claiming fraud where I witnessed anomalies that defy reasonable explanation.

What documented evidence can you put forward that this is the case, which would be acceptable to the courts?

Barr and the courts disagree with you that such evidence exists.
                                I don't care. I witnessed it and I deduced what I saw.
