  • What are your predictions?

I believe Biden will win in a squeaker, and the Republicans will hold the senate at 51.

You forgot that 3 months after Biden is sworn in, Harris will be POTUS.

        I'm honestly torn.

What I will predict is the aftermath. If Trump wins, the new Russiagate made-up scandal by the political left that will keep us bogged down for another four years with faux investigations will be the left claiming Trump cheated and that the polls, which they will insist were accurate, prove that he did. That's my prediction.

I predict that if Trump wins cities will burn, making this last summer look like a Boy Scout Jamboree.

I honestly think Trump will just barely win by electoral votes again (likely fewer), and Dems will throw another fit about popular vote. I think Repubs may just barely hold the senate or end up with 50/50. Dems will probably strengthen their House numbers. Many cities will burn and be looted.

              That's a given, not really a prediction.

My guess is that Biden will win pretty easily, and the Democrats will barely take the Senate. But I'm not so confident that I'd be willing to bet on it.

No change. Trump will win the presidency, and the senate will stay where it is, with the Republicans.

There will be widespread riots, with liberals complaining of a number of things, principally the undemocratic nature of the Electoral College (if, again, Trump loses the popular vote), Republican gerrymandering, Trump's efforts to undermine the entire election and his lack of action regarding foreign influence (because, of course, like 2016, they'll all be interfering for him, as they realise Trump is better for all anti-Americans (it amazes me that so few conservatives seem to think "Hmmm...Russia, an enemy of the US, interfered with the 2016 election in an effort to get Trump elected. The candidate that enemies of the US want elected is probably not the best candidate for the US", but apparently they don't)).

America - too good to let the conservatives drag it back to 1950.

I'm expecting a Democrat sweep. Nationally +8 to +10 for the Dems over Republicans. A solid electoral college victory for Biden, winning ~3 swing states more than he needs to, enough that Trump trying to contest the outcome in a few states through the courts won't matter. Dems will strengthen their majority in the house and take the majority in the senate.

The outcome on election night itself I expect to be a bit more murky because so many states will be late counting the mail-in vote. People looking at the states that have election-night results will be able to see that Biden has likely won the majority of the electoral college, but it will look a bit 50-50 on the night to the casual observer because the states that are counting mail-in votes after election day will lean more Republican on election night because Dem voters appear to be voting by mail in higher numbers and Republican voters seem to be going to vote in person.

I think Trump will win, and by more than people expect. Although there will be all sorts of attempts to distort and amend the actual voting, I think Trump will win.

If Trump wins (and I think the postal union will make that very difficult), he will use his victory as a mandate to restore order and send in the National Guard the same way presidents did back in the Civil Rights era when Democrat mayors and governors also refused to uphold the law and protect their citizens.

Rioters and looters will face federal charges and not be coddled by Democrat DAs who typically drop all charges (or reduce them to where only a small fine is paid)

Because of high number of mail in ballots this year due to Covid (10 times the number in 2016), and because of republican-caused issues with the USPS, I fully expect that there'll be a huge push to stop counting after election night and that they want the courts to declare later-counted votes invalid. Thus giving them a 2000-style victory. Despite the fact that it isn't unusual for states to take several days or weeks to count ballots and certify results.

                              That sounds oddly familiar.
