You said that already in the other thread. This thread is about Bobulinski. Just because Rudy may be a bit of a nut, doesn't take anything away from the credibility of the story or the credibility of Bobulinski

Don't care a whit about what Rudy says about them, but rather am much more interested in what is on Hunter's laptops (which his lawyer first claimed weren't Hunter's and yet mysteriously demanded they be given back to Hunter ).

I'm always still in trouble again

"You're by far the worst poster on TWeb" and "TWeb's biggest liar" --starlight (the guy who says Stalin was a right-winger)

I don't believe that he asked for anything back. If the shop owner can release the email which was sent or call records then I'll buy it. Things need to make sense to be true most of the time. How does it make sense to ask for the laptop back, which in effect confirms the majority of the story, after the drive was already imaged?

And you should care what Rudy says. He's one the key people who needs to be credible in order to trust the laptop story (which is necessary to ensure that the released materials are pristine).

Assuming this is all a hoax, you'd have to assume that they not only edited all the emails on the laptops, but Bobulinski is in on it and likewise edited all his text messages and documentation. Like the "Trump has covid" thread, you're becoming completely irrational in your conspiracy theorizing on par with reptilians and flat earthers.

I believe Bevan Cooney also corroborated many of the emails from his Google account.

There's simply way too much out there for this to all be an elaborate hoax.

Bobulinski was just ordered to pay $634k in a court case, some of which came due two weeks ago. He's got legal problems all over the place. So, while I'm not necessary accusing him of "enhancing" the truth he'd certainly have some pain points one could take advantage of to steer what he has to say.

                  bob.png

That aside, I have only ever taken issue with the laptop story, as in how these emails made their way from Hunter to Rudy. I have not claimed that the emails were entirely invented, only that we can't trust them not to have been tampered with. It's a straw man to claim that I am saying that there isn't a kernel of truth in this at all.

The laptop story was relayed by two people -- the shop owner, who is a nut, and Rudy, who sure sounded like one yesterday where he openly confesses to possessing child pornography and now indicates that three laptops are out there, not all of which came from the shop. So I guess Hunter was leaving this incriminating materials just anywhere.

Is that a court settlement or merely a filing by some lawyer? I have never seen a court decision start off with "WHEREFORE, Plaintiff prays for judgment as follows." "prays for judgment"?

And it isn't signed by a judge, court officer or anything remotely like that but instead by the plaintiff's attorney.

Further, I wasn't able to find any judgments against Bobulinski after a quick interwebz search.

Finally, even if he did lose a lawsuit, how exactly do you think that pertains to what he is saying about Hunter?

So what you're saying is that while you're not accusing him of lying, you're totally accusing him of lying.

                      Got it.

Yeah, that document is pretty sketchy, and I notice that once again, LiconaFan97 did not provide a source for where he got it from, similar to the stunt he pulled with the hard drive warranty nonsense, a conspiracy theory that went absolutely nowhere.

That looks like the form that a lawyer files for a summary judgement. That doesn't mean it IS a judgement.

"It doesn't matter, and I don't care." Show some consistency. The source doesn't matter when the evidence speaks for itself and and can be independently verified (I told you exactly how to do so). Also, I told you that Frank Figliuzzi presented exactly the same argument on a podcast so go ahead and assume he was my "source."

As to the document, you can see the full history of this lawsuit here. Now it appears that the judgement might not have been handed down though I heard that it had. I don't have access to PACER so I can't get the absolutely latest information on this case.

As to relevance, obviously if someone owes large amounts of money that's a pain point which could be exploited to influence. When seeking a security clearance significant debts is one of the primary things people look at.

I'm not because I don't have evidence he's lying. I'm just pointing out that we should take everything into account. You, I'm sure, take Hunter's substance abuse into account when judging whether it's plausible he engaged in shady behavior due to diminished judgement.

No, regarding the warranty conspiracy theory, you told me to do an internet search. Sorry, but I'm not going to search the entire internet and try to to guess which article or blog or whatever you might have referenced.

But thank you for at least providing something to back up your claims about the court case, although curiously, I do not see any reference to the document you posted.
