I have no idea if Guiliani realised how old his female interlocutor was - I have yet to see the movie. However, all these male [and it is predominantly from men] assertions that a younger woman could not be mistaken for an older woman ignores the very real facts of life.

I do not know how American bars and clubs ascertain the ages of their clientele; however, I do know from my British female friends that when they were fifteen or sixteen and and underage it was perfectly possible to make themselves look old enough to gain admittance to, and get served, in bars [legal age limit 18].

Personally, I have never in my life seen a 15-year old that could be mistaken for a 24-year old, or a 24-year old that could be mistaken for 15. There is a distinct physical difference between adult women and young girls. 15 or 16 passing as 18? Sure. But 24? No way.

And I watched most of the movie last night. I found it pretty entertaining and relatively well made. Obviously the script is pretty contrived since they had to write it around the gags they pulled off but the acting was pretty good during the conversational parts which weren't spoken in English. My copy didn't have subtitles so I assume we're supposed to generally infer what they said based on their performance which was pretty well communicated. Are there supposed to be subtitles for those parts?
