You're naive if you think enforcing the rules doesn't require interpretation.

You play the part of editor each and every time you ban someone or edit their post here - and that's because no human on the planet can write a rule for behavior that is 100% unambiguous and or 100% complete. All behavioral rules can be circumvented.

Twitter could never write rules for content that brook no exception.

When this nightmare is over, we need a Truth and Reconciliation Commission. It would erase Trump’s lies, comfort those who have been harmed by his hatefulness, and name every official, politician, executive, and media mogul whose greed and cowardice enabled this catastrophe.

How about we just remove their Section 230 protection and treat them like any other publishers since they do curate content?

Don’t let fascism stand up. Remember the generations that went to war to defeat fascism, and do your duty to crush it while it is still weak.

We try to make rules ahead of time, keeping them fair and applying to everyone, and then we discuss any infractions before making any ruling or removing any material. And we don't remove people's opinions. We are not publishers. We are moderators. Twitter is making on the fly decisions on what opinion a person is allowed to post. That is editorial.

If you want to post your opinions here, you are welcome to them as long as they fit within our rules (e.g.you can't advocate actual violence or use certain language) - As Christians we believe in God, Jesus Christ is the only savior, pro-life, etc. But if you don't, we aren't going to remove your posts that disagree with us. We will just debate you on it. And if you break a rule we will treat you the same whether you are a Democrat, Republican, Atheist or Christian.

Twitter and Facebook have pretty much grown way beyond a simple private forum like Theologyweb. They have become the default platforms for public text communication on the internet. They are almost monopoly like. So I am thinking that if they keep this up, they will be probably treated like a telecommunications company, like the phone company or an internet provider. They might be privately owned but they are not allowed to discriminate on what views their subscribers might hold. They can't ban Republicans from using their services or censor them.

China wants a Trump win because he is so good at undermining America’s supremacy. They fear Biden.

China's the only major national economy to have posted growth during this last quarter; 4.3% (or 4.9? Can't remember). Of course they want Drumpf to stay in office. All of his easily winnable trade wars are lining their pockets.
