MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday that he saw nothing criminal in Hunter Biden’s past business ties with Ukraine or Russia, marking out his disagreement with one of Donald Trump’s attack lines in the U.S. presidential election.

Putin was responding to comments made by Trump during televised debates with Democratic challenger Joe Biden ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

Now, I really don't care what Putin has to say but he's kind of hanging Trump out to dry with this.
But I thought Trump and Putin were BFFs!

I guess now it's going to be harder for liberals to claim that the "laptop from hell" is Russian plot.

I don't think anyone claimed that they were BFFs, as in there being a mutual admiration between them. Love, if you can call it that, only flows one way in that relationship.

I'll take Putin's words as sufficient evidence that your links do not actually contain evidence of crimes committed by Joe Biden. Your spin seems a bit loose with the truth on that score.

This is what you're staking that belief on...

"Yes, in Ukraine he (Hunter Biden) had or maybe still has a business, I don’t know. It doesn’t concern us. It concerns the Americans and the Ukrainians,” said Putin.

But well yes he had at least one company, which he practically headed up, and judging from everything he made good money. I don’t see anything criminal about this, at least we don’t know anything about this (being criminal).”
Not only does Putin not seem to know much about it, but he thought Hunter was the head of Burisma. It sounds like he either really doesn't know anything about it or he was just playing coy to the questionnaire and giving a neutral answer about it lest Biden wins the election and becomes POTUS Putin will have to deal in the future. If you want to make a big deal out of that as proof that the evidence is insufficient, more power to you. It just goes along with how you've been grasping at straws to defend against this the whole time you've been here.

Even more hilarious is that liberals have apparently suddenly decided that Putin is an honorable and trustworthy source of information.

It's no surprise. If you watch their pattern over the last 4 years it's very much a constant. If someone is favorable/works with/helps trump, they are hopeless liar sycophants. As soon as that person is fired/turns on trump, suddenly every word becomes Gospel.

            Look as Scaramucci, Comey, etc.

Remember when Colbert literally had to pull an Orewllian switch on his audience and got them to go from cheering Comey being fired to booing the fact?

I don't pay any attention to Colbert, but that sounds rather insidious.

The news of James Comey’s political demise had broken less than 10 minutes before Stephen Colbert began his late-show taping on Tuesday evening. And when he informed his live audience, trapped in a dead-zone soundstage — “the FBI director has just been fired by Donald Trump” — they initially reacted by breaking into cheers.

This was a man, after all, that Colbert’s liberal-leaning viewership had viewed as a bad guy. He raised Hillary Clinton’s email scandal from the dead; he might have cost her the election.

“Wow, wow,” Colbert said, appearing taken aback by the applause. “Huge, huge Donald Trump fans here tonight.”

The audience quieted. They realized, now, that cheering for Comey’s ousting in fact meant cheering for Trump, a man they disliked even more than Comey. A man whose rationale for the firing — Comey had been unfair to Clinton — neatly sidestepped the fact that Trump himself had spent months encouraging chants of “Lock her up.”

Not really. It's funny how everybody reads so much into this stuff.

Putin was asked if he knew of any evidence of wrongdoing of the Biden family in regard to Russia (and Ukraine). And he said "no." Unless Putin investigated it (and there's no reason that he should - it has nothing to do with him) he wouldn't know. Really simple. It's a rather neutral comment. I don't see it helping or hurting Biden or Trump.

I just operate under the assumption that Putin doesn't get asked questions he's not prepared to answer. He essentially wields absolute power.

But that aside I think there is plenty of reason for Putin to want to know about this investigation. That's true if the democrats are right and Trump conspired with Russia and also if the republicans are right and no one has been tougher on Russia than Trump.

                            • So, to date there has emerged no proof of criminality or kiddie porn from Hunter's laptop. Can we declare this a bust or are some still holding out hope?

                              • Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, allegedly acted as the “personal attorney” for Ye Jianming, the chair of a major Chinese energy firm, in a deal to buy a 14% stake in a Russian state oil company facing global sanctions.

The stunning accusation was made by Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of the Biden family, during an interview Tuesday evening with Tucker Carlson on Fox News.

Bobulinski explained that he was to have been the CEO of a new firm, Sinohawk, that was to be a joint venture between CEFC — the “capitalistic side of the Chinese government” — and the Biden family. He said he met with Joe Biden in 2017 to discuss the arrangement, contradicting Biden’s denials on the campaign trail.
