However, if we had had a daughter I would see no reason to prevent her being in such a film.
I understand that Fathia Youssouf who plays the main character of Amy is 14 years old as is Ilanah Cami-Goursolas who plays Jess. From what I have read it appears that Médina El Aidi-Azouni [Angelica] is the youngest, at 12.

That was enough for me to not want to watch the film in its entirety, as I have kids (mostly daughters) and if found out anyone filmed anything remotely like that of my kids, I'd be getting out the wood chipper. I understand, on the far left, such perversions are normal (just look at Cali's recent laws). But to us, in the real world, people who sexually exploit children, hold auditions of scantily clad children thrusting their pelvises at the floor or at the camera, let alone those who do that and then publish such videos, belong in prison at best."It ain't necessarily so

One can condemn murderous assault without first having committed murderous assault.
One can condemn larceny and theft without first having been a thief.
And one can condemn child exploitation without first watching children being exploited.
Not too long ago news agencies would regularly feature segments where they would sternly condemn various forms of exploitations all the while showing clip after clip of what they were condemning. Nobody was fooled by the self-righteous condemnations knowing full well that they themselves were also engaged in the exact same behavior that they were castigating. They would run these titillating videos not to draw attention to a problem (that can be done without engaging in it yourself) but to increase rating and hence revenue.
That is exactly what the makers of Cuties and Netflix is doing here.

[QUOTE=Ronson;n1193883]
I haven't seen it and I haven't condemned it. But Netflix is pretty stupid for airing it in the US. [/quote[Given the reaction among some here who seem unable to glimpse a clothed buttock or a crotch without immediately thinking about sex, you are probably right. Yet the "twerking" the girls perform has its origins in the USA , or so I understand.

What do you mean by innocence?
And explores the coming of age issues for young girls who hail from conservative and rather repressive backgrounds.

Correct, I do not have to see an entire movie to be able to judge it by several scenes that show gross sexual exploitation by minors.
If you saw clips of a film showing a real rape of a woman, would you need to see the entire film to condemn it?
