  • What is the actual history of Trump support of Veterans?

Trump is inclined to publicity stunts of engendering support such as the very public contribution claim(?) to contribute money to Veteran causes. What is his history of actually making such contributions and support of Veterans. Considering his public trashing of POWs his support of Veterans is highly questionable in the pasr.

Meanwhile, was I aware of what a success he’d had with the Nation’s Parade, the Veterans Day celebration he’d been very supportive of back in 1995? Well, here was a little something he wanted to show me, a nice certificate signed by both Joseph Orlando, president, and Harry Feinberg, secretary-treasurer, of the New York chapter of the 4th Armored Division Association, acknowledging Trump’s participation as an associate grand marshal.

2008 Honoree of the Year Donald Trump

Donald J. Trump – Chairman & President, The Trump Organization
In 1982 Donald J. Trump was named as Co-Chairman of the New York Vietnam Veterans Memorial Commission, established by Mayor Edward I. Koch. Their mission was to raise the necessary funds in order to build a memorial in honor of the men and women who served in the Vietnam War, and to create a counseling and employment program for veterans. The commission raised in excess of three million dollars. It was Donald Trump’s challenge to the City of New York, and his personal contribution of one million dollars, that was instrumental in the completion of this project
