With all due respect, I think this is about one of the dumbest reasons to vote for somebody for president. It's like electing somebody because you want a "first black person" or a "first hispanic person".... I want the very best candidate regardless of gender or race.

I am afraid there is no really "best" candidate still in the running. I see Trump as simply the least horrible. Horrible but not as much so as Hillary.

I am a LINO, Libertarian in name only. I fail to hold to my convictions if I vote for Trump, but the US might last a little longer if Hillary does not get her hands on the presidency.

It's not high on my list of reasons. Otherwise, I wouldn't be seriously looking at other candidates. However, I don't really consider it to be a dumb reason. I've seen much worse reasons, including some revolving around Trump.

The electoral process is really, really good at throwing up candidates I'd rather not vote for, but the current round is especially egregious. Do I go for the loose cannon or the corporate shill?

Nyah nyah. Call me dumb if you like. But it's a moot point, because that reason doesn't even become a factor for me if she ends up running against Trump or Cruz. I'd only consider it if she runs against Kasich, which is extremely unlikely.

No it means I want someone to vote for that's a decent candidate, and I do not consider Trump to be one for many reasons. And I would vote for my cat over Trump. But I have made no secret over that. You make voting for Mrs. Clinton sound as if its a crime. Its not. Its a free country and I'd take Mrs. Clinton in a heartbeat, heck I'd take Bernie Sanders over over Donald Trump. I'd also prefer Gov. Kasich. But that's not a secret. If the GOP runs a brokered convention and puts a halfway decent candidate up their, (realistically in national polls Ted Cruz fairs better of Hillary Clinton, though in that case I'd see the third party choices but so do several other people) The primary loser to Mrs. Clinton is Donald Trump. He's racist, misogynistic, and has no self control. He's the very definition of a narcissist and I don't want him anywhere near the white house.

I don't like Trump either, I like Kasich, but I am pretty sure Kasich is not going to be the candidate. Either Trump or Cruz. I don't like either one, but I would vote for Cruz before Trump, and Trump before Hillary or Sanders. Maybe we can just dissolve the USA and beg Britain to take America back.
