This is why I think the best churches are the ones reaching out to populations beyond the ones that make up most of the congregation.

It's also why I think Westboro Baptist Church is such an outlier. Even though you can see the biblical justification for speaking so strongly about homosexuality, it's harder to do it in that manner when you actually know people involved and really care about their lives and yes, their souls.

Yup, Jesus reached out to the down-and-outters and misfits... you can't minister to them if you're constantly harping on how wrong they are.
