Wouldn't you EXPECT an "imperfect" design as a result the Fall?

      Simple question asked before...

And wouldn't a person expect junk DNA as a result of the Fall.

Anti-evolutionists like to have their cake and eat it too.

            1) They crow about the "perfection" of design of the eye, in spite of the Hebrew word for "perfect" isn't used in the Genesis stories.

            But,

            2) They assert that Creation was "broken" by the Fall, animal death, etc., so that nature is now quite "imperfect". The degree or type of imperfection is of course up for grabs and (a further of course) completely unpredictable and unfalsifiable.

There are no stories about the creation of the eye you nitwit. So obviously its not based on anything in Genesis. So silly.

So if someone says a baby was born healthy but got sick afterwards they are attempting to have their cake and eat it too? Is this lack of brain processing power for all your life or just for the internets. The idea of a fall and imperfection is older than anti-evolutionists by thousands of years. Its not a recent invention to have a cake and eat it too. Moral of your failed logic - stay in school until you can think. You might never leave but what other better option do you have?

According to Stinky the humans and other animals created in Genesis didn't have eyes?? Interesting.

                  ... ?
                  Stinky,

The eye is part of the human body, no?

And wasn't the human body subject to the defect(s) resulting from the Garden sin?

                  Duh...!

P.S. Oh, and what Beagle said.

Stinky Enders stinks at exegesis as well as science and logic.

only you would have to ask little von Klaus. So are ears but none of them are specified in Genesis one or two. So the argument does not come from Genesis and your observations on genesis toward that end are worthless. Of course you don;t and won't understand why but you can just nod and pretend you get the point so as not to look more of a fool.

                      You forgot this, Stinky:

I will keep harping on this simple question until you and/or equally intellectually dishonest and sanctimonious friend answers.

To repeat: Why would one expect "perfection" (a word NOT used in the creation stories!) in the human eye (or modern DNA for that matter!) if creation was "broken" at the Fall (as per conservative Christian theology)?

Bumped again for Stink 'n Jor

Synopsis: YECs' and Stinky's OEC "literal" Genesis interpretation --> "Perfection" in the human body, a result of "intelligent design(tm)" --> A&E bite the forbidden fruit --> creation is "broken", no longer "perfect" -->

So why is the human eye design necessarily still "perfect"?

So what's the beef with junk DNA and a less-than-perfect mammalian eye "design"???

Just a brief reply so that Santa Claus doesn't blow a gasket.

I believe what I'm about to say has already been stated but we all know that reading comprehension is way down - I mean WAY down - on Santa Claus' list of abilities.

In engineering there's a concept of "constrained optimization" - that's most of the answer that Santa seeks. Added to that is the fact that God (being omniscient) knew where things were headed and so He has a purpose for doing things the way He did. Period, end of story.

Santa Claus is extremely arrogant and thinks high-and-mighty about himself but surely even he can't believe that he is going to know more than the Creator of the entire universe and all therein. Then again, I've dealt with many of his ilk and, yes, they do indeed believe that they are superior to, and may therefore judge, the Almighty Creator.

                              Go figure ...

So was the "constrained optimization" of the human eye and genome compromised at the Fall?
