How sad that YECs can't appreciate empirical confirmation of informed predictions.

Natural Science 301 Guidelines
This is an open forum area for all members for discussions on all issues of science and origins. This area will and does get volatile at times, but we ask that it be kept to a dull roar, and moderators will intervene to keep the peace if necessary. This means obvious trolling and flaming that becomes a problem will be dealt with, and you might find yourself in the doghouse.
As usual, Tweb rules apply. If you haven't read them now would be a good time.

Considering the number of earth like planets and solar systems being observed is increasing just in our galaxy it becomes more and more apparent our solar system is not unique.βλέπομεν γὰρ ἄρτι δι᾿ ἐσόπτρου ἐν αἰνίγματι, τότε δὲ πρόσωπον πρὸς πρόσωπον·

Ragging on YEC's was unnescessary, that's all I was pointing out. Basically the OP is "Here's this wonderful news story, oh and incidentally boo to the YEC's" And now its quickly turning into a backslapping session of mutual reassurement that bashing YEC's is both good and fun.

“12. Our modern world is based on a long history, of which the development of science and technology forms an important part. However, the scientific approach is still not well understood and this is liable to encourage the development of all manner of fundamentalism and extremism. The total rejection of science is definitely one of the most serious threats to human and civic rights.”
“13. The war on the theory of evolution and on its proponents most often originates in forms of religious extremism closely linked to extreme right-wing political movements. The creationist movements possess real political power. The fact of the matter, and this has been exposed on several occasions, is that some advocates of strict creationism are out to replace democracy by theocracy.”

The correlation between YEC's and Global Warming Dissent has more to do with YEC's tending to be politically conservative, and there's a powerful lobby to sow fear, uncertainty and doubt about global warming. So this has nothing to do with their religion as such.

Okay, I'm not hiring you to be a slogan writer, you need to work on it.

Amen, but how is that accomplished by ending every planetary science news post with a pointing out of YEC's beliefs? There's a difference between pointing out mistakes others make, and bashing. This is plainly bashing.

See any Cerebrum123 or Mossy post on evolution, and this becomes well apparent.
