Natural Science 301 Guidelines

This is an open forum area for all members for discussions on all issues of science and origins. This area will and does get volatile at times, but we ask that it be kept to a dull roar, and moderators will intervene to keep the peace if necessary. This means obvious trolling and flaming that becomes a problem will be dealt with, and you might find yourself in the doghouse.

As usual, Tweb rules apply. If you haven't read them now would be a good time.

The Trials of Life continues to be my most cherished book. I think I was in 2nd grade when I got it, and I've read it cover to cover numerous times.
      I'm not here anymore.

QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter (Princeton Science Library). I've read it many times and when I'm done I almost understand... for a while.

My favorite science fiction opus is The Genesis Flood, followed closely by the hilarious exemplar of category error, In Six Days: Why Fifty Scientists Choose to Believe in Creation.

If we're talking science fiction, I think I'd put "The Hollow Earth" next to "The Genesis Flood".

But if we're taking popular science, here are some of my favorites:
Owen Gingerich, The Book Nobody Read
Dava Sobel, Longitude and Galileo's Daughter

Nobody has nominated Star Trek and all of its incarnations?

One book that affected me greatly as a young teen was One Two_Three... Infinity by George Gamow. Won't say it started my love of science but it certainly fueled it.
