Natural Science 301 Guidelines

This is an open forum area for all members for discussions on all issues of science and origins. This area will and does get volatile at times, but we ask that it be kept to a dull roar, and moderators will intervene to keep the peace if necessary. This means obvious trolling and flaming that becomes a problem will be dealt with, and you might find yourself in the doghouse.

As usual, Tweb rules apply. If you haven't read them now would be a good time.

Because the truth is simpler than a lie most of the time. Thus "Occam's Razor"

Do you mean by that, that it is better to accept a primitive and superstitious panacea of eschatological redemption rather than recognise the reality of the world?

An apt philosophy for someone living a lie.

I mean that you will one day stand before Jesus and then your snarky trolling will do you no good. He won't be amused.

That is an interesting belief but to quote Woody Allen.

You never know you might find yourself in the halls of Osiris waiting to have your heart weighed on the scales against Ma'at with Ammit waiting to devour you if you are found wanting!

If so I think I would still have a way better chance of getting into heaven than you do.

There was no "heaven" in the ancient Egyptians' belief in an afterlife - simply another version of Egypt - only better.

And of course you would have to work in Osiris' fields unless you had your own little ushabit figures to do it for you

Better than you. I hope Ammit has dental insurance though. I bet you have a lot of gristle.

I transposed my letters - it should be ushabti.

I have no belief in an after-life, although the Egyptian version is rather appealing in a romantic way.

You find slaving away in a field or being devoured by a malicious god romantic?

It was believed that if one was working in Osiris' fields one had not been devoured by Ammit.

Although from that little gem I can easily understand why you have such a rapport with rogue06.

I guess it's your not being a native English speaker problem again. That's what I said, you either end up slaving in the fields or getting devoured. And you think that is romantic?
