A rather grisly discovery at the site of a "henge" in eastern Germany (193km/120mi southwest of Berlin) that was only discovered in 1991. Made up of seven concentric circles and having a total diameter of 115 meters (337') this one, like many others, wasn't made of stones but of wood. FWIU, human remains have been found there before but the condition of these newly uncovered remains provide evidence that suspicions of human sacrifice are likely.
The article mentions houses. The outlines of 65 have thus far been identified, making this the largest known settlement from the early Bronze Age in Central Europe.
