what do you use to form the track shape?

The copper is very soft; I can bend it by hand. There are regular yorks soldered across the track to keep its shape.

I'm getting antsy; I have not done a new one now for some months. Gotta get back into the workshop!

Hey, I used to do that! It was lots of fun! I used to save leftover Cat3 scraps, and make stuff out of them. My favorite was a giraffe - pretty good detail.

I took up a hobby last year: copper wire sculpture. I've slacked off a bit recently with sorting out work commitments, but I hope to get better organized and make some more time for this. In the meantime here are two of my best so far.

This was a Christmas present to my niece:

This is more what I am focused upon: dynamic marble runs. What I am planning is going to be a huge challenge; this one was a deliberately simple Christmas tree marble run to work on basic soldering and shaping techniques.
