I am 25 years old, I have never properly worked in my life, I live off my mom's, I only study (online graduation), but I have absolutely no interest in my area of study either (IT)...

Do you guys have any advice? What should I do? I am becoming rather tired of my own situation...

Find any job to establish habit of going to work and earning your own money. Think about what does interest you and look for opportunities in that direction. Think about what a potential employer is looking for and train yourself for that role.

Apprenticeships?

College courses often do not train people for work. In most cases, work skills are learned by working.

Find out what you have an interest in, fast, and then put everything you've got into it. Or as Joseph Campbell put it, "follow your bliss."

I agree with firstfloor's advice. If you can find some work - maybe part time? - that will give you experience, some money, and a sense of achievement.

Other thoughts -

If you are close to finishing your studies, you should most probably complete them. Shows persistence, gives you a qualification (which shows your ability etc). You may be able to parlay your IT skills into work in more appealing areas.

Set yourself some goals - then break them down into the steps you need to complete to get them. Make a chart or plan for each goal, with the steps on it, and start working towards those steps. Put the chart somewhere you can see it, and mark off as you complete steps - make them small enough to be achievable!

Figure out what you love to do, and find a way to get paid to do it.

If, say, watching TV, playing video games and eating pizza happens to be your "bliss" then you might wanna rethink that since I seriously doubt many people can make a living doing that. But if you can then more power to ya.

I would add, have a backup plan. If career A doesn't work out the way you'd like, have a plan for career B. Trust me.

I second this advice. Also:

When I went through this sort of lost time in my early 20s, trying pick a direction in life, I received two practical bits of advice that really helped me:

1) Just make a decision. You can always change your mind later, and life doesn't always work out the way you'd planned.

and, even more important....

2) Imagine who it is that you want to be, and then come up with a plan to be the person. No one else is going to do it for you.

One of my coworkers at the department store was working retail to put herself through cosmetology school, and was planning on working as a hairdresser to put herself through school to be a psychologist.

Sometimes you have to work at a job you hate in order to end up in a job you love.

For what it's worth, you don't have to love your job either to be content. Obviously, don't do something you actively hate, but sometimes working a "just ok" job is perfectly fine when you have goals and aspirations outside of work.
