Home Economics 101

Welcome to the Home Ec Section. Matters of the family sometimes bring joy and other times bring grief. But it is never trivial: Family matters! Feel free to discuss topics such as the sanctity of marriage; the awesome responsibility of raising children; the struggles of communication problems; the grief of losing a loved one; or anything else that relates to the home and family. However, due to the more personal nature of this section, I ask that you would be especially thoughtful of the readers' feelings. My earnest hope and prayer is that the discussions in this section will help families grow in the love of Christ.

But remember, always play by the rules: here

My first project is 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 so far! I've knitted my first, mostly okay, pink square!!!!

    Yeah, I get excited easily...

Managed to pick up an extra stitch - but other than that it's looking pretty good for a first try!

Is there a Knitting Anonymous group? I may need them... once I admit I have a problem, that is!!!!

If you are plain knitting, doing a knit 2 together will take care of the extra stitch without much issue. Check your area for a local group that knits. Probably listed online somehow, maybe a "knitting in public" group? AND, go and join ravelry.com. A community for knitting and crocheting where you will find TONS of help! Quanta and I are members and we can friend you! (But it's not like FB).

You know I expect pictures, right?
