    Indeed, dementia is something terribly difficult for families to deal cope with. A friend of mine's father has dementia, and my own family dealt with it with both my grandfather and a step-grandfather.

    Having those sorts of papers in order before the condition advances too far makes things a WHOLE lot easier on the family. Good article.

    by the grace of God, Dad did get his papers in order shortly after mom died. And I would add that the signs of dementia are so subtle that it's easy to ignore them until too late.
