I don't think that we here (UK) are quite so strangled with political struggle (over Covid) as the US. Our Shadow Government is supporting Boris, with just the odd 'We could do this better but...' phrase here and there.
Those schools. Juggling the dreadful financial crashes with Hospital stresses, Brexit plus our children's educations on top of that, PM Johnson has done EXACTLY the same thing by pushing for schools to re-open when he needed to keep them closed. On a Friday evening a few weeks ago he told England that schools would stay open, and on Saturday morning he told England that schools must stay closed. (Wales, Scotland and NI Ireland have their own leadership over Covid).
It's just showing how horrid the whole juggling mess is at present.
The last time that the UK left politics aside to support our leaders like this was when Churchill picked up the baton in WWII. We moan about Boris but the majority will support him.
