Wasn't there an account some years ago of somebody who set off several foggers in the house and went away for a few hours? The house blew up.

Then there was a story a month or two ago where a man went to a gasoline station to fill his tank. There was a spider crawling around the gas cap. So he got out his lighter to kill the spider. He wound up setting the car on fire. See pictures at https://thedaleygator.wordpress.com/...el-door-video/

Interesting point about new clothing from china: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/household/bedbugs.asp

It says to throw new stuff into the dryer for 20 minutes. Don't put these with other clothes until you've done that. Now I think they should have suggested going to a laundromat so you don't even have a chance to invite these critters home with you.

Whoops no sound on that one. Sorry..

I'm seeing a couple of reports that the cops may suspect he was maybe burning evidence. I dunno...bedbugs isn't the first thing that'd come to my mind for a cover story.

Here's a good video of the fire. The bed bug guy also has tall explaining to do to two insurance companies. Way to go, bed bugs.

The honorable mention exists for the attempt to take oneself out of the gene pool and fails. This qualifies fully.
