It kinda makes sense, cause you want the sheep to have their coats on in the winter, so as soon as spring comes, you wait a couple weeks to see if you've had the last frost, then you shear! We're talking the Holy Land though -- Australia's shearing time would be different, cause they voted to have winter at a different time than the rest of the world.
