Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

    Glory Seed Devotional 02/21/2014

A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
    God the Determiner and Definer…

Have you seen one of the automobile commercials where it starts out with a SUV driving up a mountain then in the next scene the vehicle is sitting at the top and the camera pans the horizon? I love mountain scenery and when I see pictures or videos of them they are always breathtaking. But the commercial itself isn’t being honest because neither SUV’s nor any other vehicle can climb to the top of mountains shown in the commercials.

If you want to climb a mountain vehicles can only take you so far, at some point mountain climbing becomes a relationship between the climber and the mountain. I remember shortly after my bypass surgery while still in ICU one of the attending doctors came into my room and reassured me that everything went as planned and then he told me the outcome now was between me and God.

All the gifts and talents of people, all the technology, all the products produced out of technology, all the institutions of higher learning have been, are, and will always have limitations. That was the message God gave to Isaiah and that’s the message Isaiah left for us. “And he said, “Yes, go, and say to this people, ‘Listen carefully, but do not understand. Watch closely, but learn nothing.’ Harden the hearts of these people. Plug their ears and shut their eyes. That way, they will not see with their eyes, nor hear with their ears, nor understand with their hearts and turn to me for healing.” (Isaiah 6:9–10, NLT)

In every situation we face in this life and the next it will be our relationship with God that will determine the outcome. Not only will God determine the outcome but he will also define the outcome.

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary

“The farmer plants seed by taking God’s word to others… And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word…” (Mark 4:14, 20, NLT)
