Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

    A Glory Seed Devotional
Look no further, I am here…

For me Jesus’ encounter and conversation with the Samaritan Woman at Jacob’s Well is not only summed up in the following verses but also divine insight and instructions to us so we can know God intimately.

“God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.” The woman said, “I don’t know about that. I do know that the Messiah is coming. When he arrives, we’ll get the whole story.” “I am he,” said Jesus. “You don’t have to wait any longer or look any further.”” (John 4:24–26, The Message)

One of the most powerful worship experiences we can engage in doesn’t necessarily take place in a sanctuary adorned to enhance our worship experience it can and does happen when we turn our thoughts toward God and begin, “My God in Heaven holy and hallowed is your name ______________________,” (or something similar).

One of the things that have puzzled me was, “we’ll get the whole story,” I wasn’t sure of what story the woman was referring to. And while I’ll not have the opportunity to personally ask the woman I think “the story” she was referring to was that one day God himself would come to earth and be present in her life. To which Jesus replied, “You don’t have to wait any longer or look any further I am here.” Wherever we reduce ourselves to the simplicity of infants seeking nourishment, love, and comfort from a parent then meet God in a true worship experience God opens up for us Jesus’ Story of God with us.

I am convinced that when we pray (worship) to God on Jesus’ terms and exercise faith God answers us by being present with us through the Holy Spirit. There is no greater blessing or answer to our prayers then to know that God is intimately with us. My prayers prior to my heart bypass surgery last September were that God would be with me throughout the surgery and recovery period. Not once did I not feel alone not even when I experienced the heart attack in November.

This morning Jesus has a few words for you, “You don’t have to wait any longer or look any further I am here.”

    Jesus! Believe him! Experience him!

    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary
