Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
The NEED to LOVE and be LOVED…

“God, I want to open myself up to your love. Not just some of it but all of it! God I want to be loved! Amen.”

Are you letting God love you? Or are you keeping what you consider a safe distance from God? Are you letting yourself be loved by your loved ones? Or are you keeping everyone at an arm’s length?

Anyone who has been hurt or disappointed after opening themselves up to love knows firsthand it is not easy to allow yourself to the vulnerability of love. Yet deep inside each one of us is the NEED for LOVE and not for just a little love but 100% limitless complete LOVE. And like a dandelion seed blowing in the wind our emotions and spirits will not rest until the wind gently sets us down in a fertile field where both divine and human LOVE live and flourish.

Our NEED for LOVE is out matched by God’s need to LOVE us through the life of Jesus. And our NEED for LOVE is equally matched by our loved ones NEED to LOVE us.

Author Frank Viola writes not only about God’s NEED to LOVE us through Jesus but in human ways our loved ones NEED to LOVE us. “And His love and passion are aimed at one person: His bride (the Christian church), of which you and I are a part. As such, the Lord has a restless desire to pour out the torrential love that has been imprisoned in His heart. He has an intense drive born out of a holy obsession to lavish that love upon His beloved bride— the supreme object of His being. Consequently, what grieves Him the most is when she does not accept that love.” (Viola, Frank. From Eternity to Here: Rediscovering the Ageless Purpose of God (pp. 61-62). David C. Cook. Kindle Edition)

On the flip side of LOVE, the NEED to LOVE never goes away. Therefore, anyone who has been hurt because their NEED to LOVE has been rejected by another must keep their vulnerability alive and fight off the temptation to harden their heart.

    BE strong in the LORD!

    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary
