Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
Our faith and God’s FAITHFULNESS, an unbreakable relationship…

“So don’t worry, because I am with you. Don’t be afraid, because I am your God. I will make you strong and will help you; I will support you with my right hand that saves you.” (Isaiah 41:10, NCV)

Why is it so hard to keep worry and fear from prying their way into my life? Have you ever asked yourself that question? I know I have asked myself it more times than I can remember. Yet at the same time there have been times when I’ve been through some pretty scary times when they’ve not even entered the scene, like the time I faced heart bypass surgery or the time I was told I had pulmonary fibrosis.

What gives, why is it so difficult for me to apply Isaiah 41:10 in every situation? What does it mean when worry and fear overpower my faith? Does it mean my faith is collapsing? The answer is YES, there are times when my faith does collapse and it needs to because it is not my faith alone I need to depend on but on the relationship between my faith and God’s FAITHFULNESS.

Isaiah 41:10 isn’t just about my faith it is about God’s FAITHFULNESS as well! It’s about counting on God when suddenly and unexpectedly I find myself “walking” in unfamiliar territory with darkness and the unknown settling in around me. It’s not necessarily about seeing an end to the storm but trusting God to accompany me and see me through the storms. When I was told I had pulmonary fibrosis and the resulting storms it would create later that day God told me not to worry his Grace and PEACE would see me through it. God does not lie!

During times when faith begins to collapse we find ourselves depending upon and appreciating the relationship of our faith to God’s FAITHFULNESS. Proverbs 3:5 provides us with valuable insight into the relationship of our faith to God’s FAITHFULNESS. “Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5, AMP)

    Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary
