Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
    God shows up!

John D. Barry writes, “When things seem out of control, we expect God to show up. But we often make that request without regard for the foundation we should have laid before—when things were calm. Times of rest and waiting are not times to be stagnant; instead, they are times to get to know God better so that we are prepared for what’s next.”

“When things seem out of control, we expect Go to show up.” And he shows up!

God not only shows up when we need him and even when we think we don’t need him! Yet God does not always show up immediately but at times allows us time to get our thoughts in order. When he does delay his presence and instead hangs out on the periphery of our experience he does not expect us to simply sit idle. Such times are times to access our needs, sort and prioritize them preparing ourselves for what is yet to come. There are also times when God does show up he simply sets with us while we study him in order to deepen our relationship with him.

No matter if God shows up right away and goes into action immediately, sits on the periphery for a while, or shows up and just sits with us, we are left with this testimony, “You are kind, LORD, so good and merciful. You protect ordinary people, and when I was helpless, you saved me and treated me so kindly that I don't need to worry anymore.” (Psalms 116:5-7 CEV)

“I love you, LORD! You answered my prayers. You paid attention to me, and so I will pray to you as long as I live.” (Psalms 116:1-2 CEV)

    Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary

The LORD gives strength to those who are weary… But those who trust the LORD will find new strength…” (Isaiah 40:29, 31 CEV)
