Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
Down but not out, hungering and thirsting for more!

Because of a malfunctioning wireless router I am writing this from a McDonalds Restaurant a couple of miles from my home. Last evening Patti mentioned because our internet is down I wouldn’t be able to send out the Glory Seeds. “I’ll just go down to McDonalds and do it,” I told her. So here I am sitting with a large coffee with 2 creams. A few feet away 3 fellows are talking about politics and an assortment of other topics. (A few minutes later.) Well, I guess they’ve solved all the world’s problems so now I am alone in this part of the dining area.

However, I am not alone! Even here in McDonalds I can feel the presence of God and I don’t know about you but whenever and wherever I feel God’s presence I hunger and thirst for more. Sitting in an eatery where you can eat until you can’t eat anymore I am reminded of… “As a deer gets thirsty for streams of water, I truly am thirsty for you, my God. In my heart, I am thirsty for you, the living God. When will I see your face?” (Psalms 42:1-2 CEV)

When I think about my insatiable appetite and passion to produce these Glory Seeds one of the most powerful motivators is my insatiable appetite and passion for God. However, it wasn’t that long ago my appetite and thirst for God were based on what God could do for me, but the more God blessed me the hungrier and thirstier for him I became and slowly a simple 4 word message began forming in my spirit, “But what about me?”

“God, as we hunger and thirst for the blessings needed to live our days in this life our greatest need is YOU. As we struggle through the storms we encounter it is out of YOUR insatiable appetite of love the Holy Spirit will come to us with blessings of strength and encouragement needed to hold Jesus’ hand until the storms pass and the sun shines again. Amen.”

Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed!
Grace and PEACE, Amen!
