Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
Jesus speaks to God for us!

“I praise you, LORD, for answering my prayers. You are my strong shield, and I trust you completely. You have helped me, and I will celebrate and thank you in song. You give strength to your people, LORD, and you save and protect your chosen ones. Come save us and bless us. Be our shepherd and always carry us in your arms.” (Psalms 28:6-9 CEV)

Have you ever worked at a job that paid you first then you performed the tasks required of you? Neither have I, in fact my place of employment of 42 years when I first began required me to work two weeks before getting paid. I was making money from day 1 but I didn’t see any of it until day 14.

Today’s scripture starts out praising God for answering prayer. This morning I have something for you to consider and try if you dare. As an act of faith before you begin praying first thank and praise God for answering your prayer. “God, I praise and thank you for answering the prayer I am going to pray, amen.” Then comes the prayer. The writer of Hebrews puts a slant on what I am trying to say by using the word “searches” in a sense prayer is searching for God’s presence. “But without faith no one can please God. We must believe that God is real and that he rewards everyone who searches for him.” (Hebrews 11:6, CEV)

Much has been written about being in God’s presence but how can we be in God’s presence when God is said to reside in heaven and is spiritual while we are here and physical. As I said in the past I have no theological degree but that doesn’t stop me from having my own belief (which is not written in stone but is subject to further insight). And it is my belief that through our heart-to-heart-to-Holy Spirit relationship with Jesus he is our presence with God. The following verses provide the inspiration for me.

“We have a great high priest, who has gone into heaven, and he is Jesus the Son of God. That is why we must hold on to what we have said about him. Jesus understands every weakness of ours, because he was tempted in every way that we are. But he did not sin! So whenever we are in need, we should come bravely before the throne of our merciful God. There we will be treated with undeserved kindness, and we will find help… Every high priest is appointed to help others by offering gifts and sacrifices to God because of their sins.” (Hebrews 4:14–16, 5:1, CEV) And finally the Apostle John writes, “My children, I am writing this so that you won’t sin. But if you do sin, Jesus Christ always does the right thing, and he will speak to the Father for us. Christ is the sacrifice that takes away our sins and the sins of all the world’s people.” (1 John 2:1–2, CEV)

    Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary
