Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

    Glory Seed Devotional, 04/01/2015

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
    Faith has us…

“Abraham was certain that God could do what he had promised. So God accepted him, just as we read in the Scriptures. But these words were not written only for Abraham. They were written for us, since we will also be accepted because of our faith in God, who raised our Lord Jesus to life. God gave Jesus to die for our sins, and he raised him to life, so that we would be made acceptable to God.” (Romans 4:21–25, CEV)

Faith is a word that can be defined, but a knowledge of faith will not hold up when faith is tested because faith is more than just another way of understanding belief. The faith Abraham experienced, the same faith we too can experience is supernatural. Faith doesn’t come out of a dictionary, Faith doesn’t come out of the scriptures, Faith doesn’t come out of our hearts, Faith comes out of God’s Heart to ours.

We don’t have faith – faith has us! When our lives are filled with conflict and chaos Faith fills us with the Peace of Jesus even as the storms rage around us. When we are weak and on the verge of giving up or giving into temptations Faith strengthens and safeguards us until the powers of temptation have become powerless. When dark clouds of hopelessness and helplessness settle in trying to replace our joy and happiness with discouragement, depression, and disconnectedness Faith comes with the Light of Jesus filling us with the Joy of the Resurrection.

Author R.C. Sproul in his book “What is Faith” writes, “The pilgrimage of the Christian life is a pilgrimage of faith. It begins when God creates faith in our hearts. In the first stage of our Christian experience, we embrace Christ and trust Him for our redemption, but the whole pilgrimage of the Christian is rooted and grounded in that confidence, that trust. The whole process is defined by living in faith (cf. Col. 2:6). That’s why God told the prophet Habakkuk, “the righteous shall live by his faith.”
“You have accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord. Now keep on following him. Plant your roots in Christ and let him be the foundation for your life. Be strong in your faith, just as you were taught. And be grateful.” (Colossians 2:6–7, CEV)

Faith isn’t believing in God – Faith is believing God! Living in Faith means living in the totality of the Light of God’ Promises.

    Believe! Anticipate! Experience! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13 LEB)
