Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
There’s no fool like a reformed fool!

I don’t suppose you’ve done some foolish things over the course of your life like I have (on more than 1 occasion I might add) have you? One of the foolish things I have a tendency to do is to put things off until I am making a last ditch attempt to get them done before it’s too late. Now in retrospect because somehow God always helps me work things out these words of the Psalmist prayer hit me like a ton of feathers. “I was so foolish and ignorant— I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you. Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.” (Psalm 73:22–26, NLT)

I am so grateful God loves me and “puts” up with the foolish things I do from time to time like putting things off, spending money foolishly, trying to do something my body is no longer able to do, or inadvertently belittle someone because if he didn’t I would be in BIG TROUBLE! But in spite of me God continues to love me and support me. And if you ever find yourself doing something you later realize was foolish you can be encouraged from my story because like me God will continue to love and support you.

Oh yeah, one more lesson experience is teaching me – doing foolish things does not necessarily make one a fool it just makes one human, but if one doesn’t learn from one’s mistakes eventually one become a fool. However, should you be the one who doesn’t learn for your foolish mistakes yet in time you make an about face the bible has to say, “There is more hope for a fool than for someone who speaks without thinking.” (Proverbs 29:20, NLT) The key to turning one’s life around is desiring God more than anything on earth! If you have that desire you’ve got everything you need!

    Anticipate! Experience! Believe! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary

Amen Gary! Relevant words for me.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
