Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2015: Year of Promise
    God has chosen you…

“God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He loves you. So you should always clothe yourselves with mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other, and forgive each other. If someone does wrong to you, forgive that person because the Lord forgave you. Even more than all this, clothe yourself in love. Love is what holds you all together in perfect unity.” (Colossians 3:12–14, NCV)

God has chosen you! God loves you! By choosing you, loving you, forgiving you God makes it possible for you to do the impossible, to love beyond your human capacity to love. The Apostle John illustrates what it means to go beyond the human capacity to love. “This is what real love is: It is not our love for God; it is God’s love for us. He sent his Son to die in our place to take away our sins.” (1 John 4:10, NCV)

Do you want to love as God loves? Are you willing to give up what is most precious to you like God did? God leaves the choice up to you because God’s love gives you the freedom to choose what path you choose to walk. It is not easy to walk the path of real love, in fact it will not only be the hardest decision you’ll ever make but its path will not be easy either. I know that from experience but once we experience and get a “taste” of God’s real love its difficulty gives way to our heart-to-heart love affair with Jesus.

You are no doubt familiar with the apostle Paul’s writing on love. “Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or rude. Love isn’t selfish or quick tempered. It doesn’t keep a record of wrongs that others do. Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil. Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. Love never fails!” (1 Corinthians 13:4–8, CEV) And I am sure you’ll agree no one has ever said it better than Paul. In my own feeble experience at loving with a real love in spite of the previous paragraph I have discovered that while it is not easy to love with real love but love isn’t complicated, love is simple. God’s real love is simply burying ones heart in the heart of Jesus and others. While that may not have an easy ring to it its simplicity and its do-ability comes from our relationship and empowerment with the Holy Spirit.

God has chosen you! God loves you!

    Anticipate! Experience! Believe! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary
