Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Glory Seed Devotional planted for the Greater Glory of God
    The adventure of Christmas…

Today is Christmas Eve. But you already know that. It has come and it will go. Then it will be Christmas Day. Then like every day it will give its life for the next day. And life will go on. Sounds kind of depressing doesn’t it? For me it would be except for a couple of things – the anticipation of Jesus’ birth and his birth.

Christmas is an adventure in believing, it is both a faith and peace journey as well. For us living in our day Christmas is more than just the story of Jesus’ birth it is a Divine Preface of Jesus’ entire life. In chapter 5 of John’s gospel the adult Jesus talks about how to begin an adventure in believing. “And the Father himself who sent me has given proof about me. You have never heard his voice or seen what he looks like. His teaching does not live in you, because you don’t believe in the One the Father sent.” (John 5:37–38, NCV)

Knowing that other voices would try to drown out God’s voice the proof to begin our journey of faith would need to come from deep within us we would be given the Holy Spirit. “I will send you the Helper from the Father; he is the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father. When he comes, he will tell about me, and you also must tell people about me, because you have been with me from the beginning.” (John 15:26–27, NCV)

As Advent 2014 draws quickly to an end and our adventure and journey continues let us once more stop and reflect on how the Holy Spirit has forever impacted our lives in our relationship with Jesus. Then pray a prayer of thanks.

“Oh, God-With-Us, For so long you have promised forgiveness, peace, salvation. Now in my heart, I am filled with joy because of your coming. Thank you for your promises and for the way I can trust in you. I feel a new freedom in my life and a courage I have not known before. I know you came to save me and bring new life and I am so grateful to you. Let me show my thankfulness with my life. You have brought me through the darkness and into the light of your saving grace. Guide my feet on the way of peace.”**

    Amen!

    Anticipate! Experience! Believe! Be transformed!
    Grace and PEACE, Amen!
    Gary
