God enables us for Thanksliving
“Sing joyful songs to the LORD! Praise the mighty rock where we are safe. Come to worship him with thankful hearts and songs of praise. The LORD is the greatest God, king over all other gods. He holds the deepest part of the earth in his hands, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The ocean is the Lord’s because he made it, and with his own hands he formed the dry land. Bow down and worship the LORD our Creator!” (Psalm 95:1–6, CEV)
GOD, YOU ARE NOT JUST GOD, YOU ARE OUR GOD!
GOD, YOU ARE THE OXYGEN THAT GIVES US LIFE!
GOD, YOU LOVE US UNCONDITIONALLY!
GOD, YOU SENT YOUR SON TO GIVE HIS LIFE FOR US!
GOD, YOU SENT YOUR SON TO INSPIRE US!
GOD, YOU HAVE GIVEN US YOUR SPIRIT TO GUIDE US!
GOD, YOU HAVE GIVEN US YOUR SPIRIT TO STRENGTHEN US!
GOD, HOW CAN WE EVER SAY THANKS? NOT EVEN A MILLION LIFETIMES WOULD BE ENOUGH!
GOD, YOU ARE NOT JUST GOD, YOU ARE OUR GOD!
We are your humble Servants, Lord. Throughout our lives, we have experienced firsthand the emptiness of words spoken without meaning, words not backed up with works. Deep in our hearts, God we know is it not words you want to hear. We also know works can be hollow as well but when words, works, and love are put together as a team we will be moving in the right direction.
It is not just words of thanksgiving God wants to hear but a life lived in thanksliving as well! “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!”
Happy Thanksgiving from the Piper house and may today be a continuing journey of blessing for you.
Anticipate! Experience! Believe! Be transformed!
