Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

    A Glory Seed Devotional
    The Journey Through Fog…

But Jesus answered them, "My Father is still working, and I also am working." (John 5:17 NRSV)

During our recent trip to the Smoky Mountains we awoke one morning and found ourselves surrounded by a layer of dense fog grabbing our camera I managed to capture the moment in a photograph. And because on our journey in life we encounter situations that either seems endless or have an unknown outcome rather than it being a foggy scene on a narrow mountain road it has become a living symbol of our ongoing journey in life.

When I look at the picture in my imagination I can see Elisha’s servant stepping out one morning and seeing they were surrounded by thousands of enemy soldiers and he found himself surrounded by an ominous dense fog. Then running to Elisha he told him of the surrounding fog and his fear of the unknown. Elisha then prayed and the Lord lifted the fog and suddenly the servant knew God was still at work in their lives and in their world.

A couple of days ago I told you about my good friend and brother in Christ Darryl. On Monday Darryl had one of his lungs removed and even though some of the fog on his life journey has been lifted because of what now awaits him on his life journey there is still a very heavy layer of fog surrounding him. But the only thing that will see Darryl and his family through the “foggy season” they now find themselves in is their belief and trust Jesus’ 10 simple words, “My Father is still working, and I also am working.”

Darryl’s life is not so dissimilar from ours, while we may not be facing situations where life and death hang in the balance. Like Darryl we need to place the completeness of our lives in the fact that no matter how dense the fog takes away our ability to see where we are going God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit can see and hard at work in our lives.

When your life gets foggy turn to Jesus and the “Fog Light” of the Holy Spirit will pierce through the heaviest fog!

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
