Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

    A Glory Seed Devotional
    Knowing Jesus…

“John told them, “I use water to baptize people. But here with you is someone you don’t know. Even though I came first, I am not good enough to untie his sandals.” (John 1:26–27, CEV)

In my imagination I can see John dressed in his camel hair clothing dripping with water standing face to face with neatly dressed Pharisees, “I use water to open the eyes of the people to The Light, and because you’ve not walked through the “water doorway” you don’t know The Light,” John told the Pharisees.

The most important word John uses to answer the Pharisees is a four letter word that will haunt them forever, “But here with you is someone you don’t KNOW.” For the next three years Jesus would walk among the Pharisees they could see him, they could hear him, they could talk to him but because they were not touched by the water they did not KNOW him.

Jesus says of John the Baptist, “I tell you that no one ever born on this earth is greater than John the Baptist…” (Matthew 11:11 CEV) John the Baptist is the most famous Doorman in history! But the door John opens is not made of metal, wood, or cloth is it made of water and when it is opened it provides immediate access to the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said, “The Spirit will show you what is true. The people of this world cannot accept the Spirit, because they don't see or KNOW him. But you KNOW the Spirit, who is with you and will keep on living in you. I won't leave you like orphans. I will come back to you.” (John 14:17-18 CEV, emphasis mine) There are times when the “water doorway” to KNOWING The Light is pristine and peaceful and there are other times when it is like a raging river racing out of control. Yet whether it is peaceful or raging here is the good news when we step through it and the Holy Spirit gains access to our eyes they are immediately opened allowing us to “KNOW Jesus” (or to see The Light).

Not only does the “water doorway” allow access to the Holy Spirit but it also opens up allowing us access to the Kingdom of Heaven and second sentence of Matthew 11:11 gives us more good news. “But whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John.” (Matthew 11:11 CEV)

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
