A Glory Seed Devotional
The authenticity of worthiness…
When thinking about your relationship with God have you ever wrestled with feelings of unworthiness? The bible describes the source of unworthy feelings this way, “We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.” (Isaiah 64:6 NLT)
Do the words of Isaiah have a familiar ring?
Have you ever considered feelings do not always reflect reality? Feelings can and do come from many different sources some good some bad. The other day on Facebook I read something that went like this: Don’t trust someone who makes you feel loved; instead trust someone who treats you in loving ways. (I’m not sure I worked it quite right.) For me that expresses reality which goes beyond feelings of euphoria or desperation to the authenticity of worthiness.
If Isaiah words do have a familiar ring to you or if the day comes when they do allow the Reality from God stomp them out and replace them with the authenticity of these words of Reality.
"Look at My Servant, whom I strengthen. He is My Chosen One, who pleases Me. I have put My Spirit upon Him. He will bring justice to the nations.” (Isaiah 42:1 NLT)
"For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:16-17 NLT)
God’s Justice / Reality is this, "Look at My Servant, whom I strengthen. He is My Chosen One, who pleases Me. I have put My Spirit upon Him. He will bring justice to the nations.” (Isaiah 42:1 NLT)
Believe it! Experience it!
Grace and PEACE,
Gary
