Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
Faith, the power to believe without seeing…

“You have never seen Jesus, and you don’t see him now. But still you love him and have faith in him, and no words can tell how glad and happy you are to be saved. That’s why you have faith.” (1 Peter 1:8–9, CEV)

I believe in Jesus! I love him with all my heart, might, mind, and strength! Jesus picks me up when I fall, comforts me when my life becomes so chaotic I can’t tell up or down. Jesus has accompanied through some pretty unsettling experiences. Jesus has even walked with me to the very edge of life where together we faced the Grim Reaper and then walked away.

Through all this my faith in Jesus has grown stronger and has given way to him becoming real to me not only as my Savior but also as a living, breathing, best friend. Yet in all this there are still times when I want to see him face-to-face. Not because I need to see him with my own eyes to truly believe in him but because there are times when life’s negativity clouds my vision leaving me in the dark. And because of my belief in Jesus and because he is always at my side when I need him the most at the first sign of trouble the first words out of my mouth are, “Jesus, I know you are here but I need to see you.”

Faith, the power to believe without seeing…

Even though Jesus has never suddenly appeared to me however he always reassures me I am never alone reminding me of stories out of the bible through the Holy Spirit, who is the invisible image of Jesus. I am not sure you’ve had a similar experience when life has tried its best to overshadow Jesus as it has mine but if it ever does, if the negativity or any other life experience prevents you from seeing Jesus please be encouraged by these words. “You have never seen Jesus, and you don’t see him now. But still you love him and have faith in him, and no words can tell how glad and happy you are to be saved. That’s why you have faith.”

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary

3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
