Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
    Hope is…

For many living in hope is no more than living in a fantasy world where eventually good things always come out of bad things. Yet true Hope the hope out of which the impossible becomes possible is much more than just anticipating good things out of bad things. Hope is living life in the reality of the promised blessings of God yet to be realized. With Hope we do not anticipate God’s presence instead we celebrate and experience God’s presence in the NOW not an uncertain later date.

Hope is one of the greatest gifts that come with a genuine relationship with Jesus it is a gift that must be planted and cultivated in the “fields of life” where it becomes life sustaining food for living in a world that hungers for peace. It is the Holy Spirit who plants and nurtures Hope bringing to life in us bible stories such as Hezekiah’s story in the Old Testament.

On his deathbed Hezekiah asked God to spare his life, God gave him 15 more years. In response to God’s promise Hezekiah again prayed a prayer filled with hope for us, “O LORD, by these things men live; And in all these things is the life of my spirit; So You will restore me and make me live. Indeed it was for my own peace That I had great bitterness; But You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back. For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your truth. The living, the living man, he shall praise You, As I do this day; The father shall make known Your truth to the children.” (Isaiah 38:16–19, NKJV)

Since 1981 I have had 14 major surgeries and any one of them could have ended my life but thanks to the medical profession and the Holy Spirit I lived through each one of them and because of those experiences and the bible when in the face of adversity I reflect back on them I do so in the reality that no matter what happens to me I live hand-in-hand, heart-in-heart with Jesus Christ. Hope therefore is not living in the shadows of adversity but living in the Light of Jesus Christ, the Promises of God, and the life sustaining ministry of the Holy Spirit.

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NLT)

    Amen Gary!
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
