A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
Troubled times are no match or God…
“The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”(2 Corinthians 3:17 NCV)
There can be little doubt that we are living in troubled and hard times all you need to do is to pick up a newspaper or turn on a television news broadcast to know the truthfulness of what I am saying. But then maybe its truthfulness may even be closer to you than a newspaper or the television news – maybe you are there right now!
Within the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, who through the Spirit, is alive and active in your life proclaims you have freedom IN troubled and hard times not freedom of them!
But what does it mean to have freedom IN troubled and hard times? The Psalmist in Psalms 91 provides us with insight not necessarily into what it means but insight in what takes place.
“The Lord says, ‘Whoever loves me, I will save. I will protect those who know me. They will call to me, and I will answer them. I will be with them in trouble; I will rescue them and honor them. I will give them a long, full life, and they will see how I can save.’” (Psalm 91:14-16 NCV)
Not only does insight come from the Psalmist but also insight can be found in the book named after “Mr. Trouble and Hard Times” the book of Job give us this insight. “But God saves those who suffer through their suffering; he gets them to listen through their pain. God is gently calling you from the jaws of trouble to an open place of freedom where he has set your table full of the best food.” (Job 36:15-16 NCV)
“God is calling you from the jaws of trouble to an open place of freedom…” But he is doing so on his own schedule not yours! Whenever God makes you wait you can be sure that the strength to endure will be there for you.
Believe it! Experience it!
Grace and PEACE!
