Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
    Blessing to be blessed…

“…But repay with a blessing, because you yourselves were called to do this so that you might receive a blessing.” (1 Peter 3:9, NCV)

Do you like tongue twisters? If you do I have one for you only this one comes with a twist itself because it is not only a tongue twister but a spirit-twister as well. If you want to be blessed then don’t bless to be blessed instead bless to be a blessing and you will not only be blessed you will be Divinely Blessed!

The secret in being blessed is to be a giver of blessings yet at the same time there is a secret is giving as well. The secret of giving is giving minus the word expecting. To put it as a math equation it would look like this “Giving – Expecting = Blessing” in other words giving like love is to be unconditional.

Luke talks about the secrets of blessing and giving when he writes about Jesus and the wealthy man. “When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “There is still one more thing you need to do. Sell everything you have and give it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me.” But when the man heard this, he became very sad, because he was very rich.” (Luke 18:22–23, NCV)

“Then come and follow me,” burned deep into the man’s lifestyle. While I have no proof I suspect the rich man knew enough about Jesus to know that Jesus was not in the money making business. What do you suppose the rich man would have done had Jesus said, “Sell everything you have and give it to the poor and I will see you have more than you gave away.”

We have a Giving God who gives and loves unconditionally out of the goodness of his Heart. I also believe when God Gives out of the goodness of his Heart his Giving is his Heart to our heart. Therefore those who have truly given their heart to God will be Divinely Blessed and from there they will be a giver of blessings.

Every circle has a starting point the only exception to that is God because God has no starting point but the circle of don’t bless to be blessed instead bless to be a blessing starts with the unconditional blessing of giving our hearts to God out of our love for God.

One last thing to think about: We can expect God to answer our prayers but when we tell God what we expect out of him the only answer we may get is silence because how God answers our prayers and what he gives us is entirely up to him not us.

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary
