Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
    God’s Love, my testimony…

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38–39, NLT)

The only constant in our world or any other world in any other universe or galaxy for that matter is the love God has for YOU! Our greatest struggle (in my eyes) is our struggle to experience God’s love because there are so many things today that seek to either pull us away from God or to attempt to provide us with a false definition of love.

Once upon a time not so long ago in a world very near (in fact the world was mine) when bad things happened to me and around me one of the first things I would do was to question God’s love. One of the most difficult questions we experience and must come to grips with is “If God is a God of love why is there so much tragedy in the world (and specifically, in my world)?” Like you and millions of others not a day goes by but what I don’t find myself asking God, “Why?”

So far God has been silent on answering my question but God has not been silent about his love for me. And so far from putting my experiences with his love for me I have weaved together what I think his answer is. It is not a theological answer nor is it a “rock solid revelation” it is just a “gut” feeling that works for me.

“Gary,” I imagine God saying, “I am not necessarily a God of prevention but I am always and forever a God of intervention. My love for you has not been written in the pages of a book but on the pages of your life. My love for you is never a thing nor is it ever a feeling it is a state of being and living. With my love for you will stand in the presence of adversity with my hope in one hand and my peace in the other hand and walk in the Light of my Resurrected Son.”

I know God is a God of love and I know that God loves each of us equally and I know those things not because it says so in any book but because God has grafted his love on my heart. I don’t know if you can apply my testimony of God’s love in your life or not if you can’t I urge you to take the time to re-examine your own life and allow him to help you graft your own testimony on your heart.

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary

Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! “Peace be with you,” he said.”
    (John 20:19, NLT)
