A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
We’ll never walk alone…
Lent 2014 is now historical. Palm Sunday 2014 is now historical. Good Friday 2014 is now historical. Easter Sunday 2014 is now historical. Jesus will never be just historical. Sure history testifies of Jesus and history teaches us about Jesus but to be historical is to be in the past and the message of the Resurrection is Jesus no longer lives in the past but he lives not only in the present but all futures presents as well.
In church yesterday we sang a song about walking the path we walk alone and nobody can walk it for us. As I sang the words I thought of the journey life has taken me on and the path I was now walking the path I would yet walk and I thought no way could I have made it this far alone. While it is true each time I went into surgery no one could take my place on the table but it was Jesus who held my hand and guided the surgeon and it was my family especially Patti, my wife that took care of me post-operative. Walk alone? NO perish that thought!
“But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am. I have told you these things before they happen so that when they do happen, you will believe.” (John 14:26–29, NLT)
Jesus telling of the Holy Spirit taking his place are more than just words in a book they are a Divine Promise that we will NEVER walk alone, we will NEVER face the unknown alone, we will NEVER face darkness alone!

Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! “Peace be with you,” he said.”
