Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s 2018 Experiencing Jesus, the Prelude to Life
Do you have a clean heart?
    Shalom!

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” (Matthew 5:8)

For me this is one of the greatest promises of the bible because it says that I Gary Piper will one day be able to see God! For me that is the greatest blessing and journey of all time.

Just think you and I have the chance to SEE God!

    But guess what?

The good news is we don’t have to wait! While it is true we’ll not see God in this life as we see each other but we can be eyewitnesses to what God does in our lives and world. Just like we are unable to see the wind, but we can see what effects the winds have we can see God at work in our lives. But before we can do that Jesus reminds us, “God blesses those whose hearts are pure.”

I believe the way to a pure heart begins with coming face to face with our own impure heart. King David wanted another man’s wife and arranged the death of a valuable friend to make it happen. King David did what was wrong in the sight of the Lord, he began a ME filled life. He polluted his own heart and came face to face with his own impure heart. He knew he was breaking God’s heart. David loved God and even though his heart was impure SAW God at work in his life and prayed, “God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore the joy of your salvation to me and sustain me by giving me a willing spirit. Then I will teach the rebellious your ways, and sinners will return to you. Save me from the guilt of bloodshed, God— God of my salvation— and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.” (Psalm 51:10–14)

Because God knew David prayed out of pure intentions. God created a pure heart in David. God created a pure heart in David to teach God’s ways to us so that you and I can know that through our relationship with Jesus we too with pure intentions can have a pure heart.

The bible tells us that God loved us first while we were yet sinners. God loves us for who we are. God’s greatest desire is that we love him first when we do he will then bless us then through a pure heart God says, “Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19)

Often when reading the quote above from Isaiah I am left wondering what it is that God is asking me to see. Our first notion is to begin looking for the “things” he’s doing. For instance, if we’re experiencing health issues we begin looking for a healing, if we’re experiencing financial issues we begin looking for an increase in income, a decrease in expenses, or help from family or friends. While the new thing God is doing may include those “things” God is asking us if we can see him at work in our lives.

“God, create in me a pure heart! Amen!”

“The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit. You will not despise
a broken and humbled heart, God.” (Psalm 51:17)

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
