A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
Part Three: A Journey inside the Crucifixion Jesus…

“After this, Pilate tried to let Jesus go. But some in the crowd cried out, “Anyone who makes himself king is against Caesar. If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar.” When Pilate heard what they were saying, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge’s seat at the place called The Stone Pavement. (In the Hebrew language the name is Gabbatha.) It was about noon on Preparation Day of Passover week. Pilate said to the crowd, “Here is your king!” They shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!” Pilate asked them, “Do you want me to crucify your king?” The leading priests answered, “The only king we have is Caesar.” So Pilate handed Jesus over to them to be crucified. The soldiers took charge of Jesus.” (John 19:12–16, NCV)

Lord, if I were to rewrite the last sentence I would write, “So Jesus went with them to be crucified.”

What Jesus did that day forever altered the course of history. For so many years people have accused the Jewish people of putting the Messiah to death when all they did was end the life of a carpenter named Jesus. They did not kill the Messiah they released him upon a world that would perish had they not done so!

The sin for which the Jewish people will one day face will not be for killing Jesus but for distorting the truth.

Jesus was a willing Messiah so he went with the soldiers not as a carpenter but as a Servant of the Most High God therefore I too must follow in his footsteps not alone but side by side with the Messiah.

We are people of the Resurrection called to be Living Witnesses of a Living Savior not a dead Jesus!

Believe it! Experience it!

Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! “Peace be with you,” he said.”
