Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
    Jesus is our strength…

“LORD, answer me quickly, because I am getting weak. Don’t turn away from me, or I will be like those who are dead.” (Psalm 143:7, NCV) Weakness is not necessarily an experience in weakness but is possibility of an experience in God’s power at work in our lives. Weakness is a forerunner/preface of vulnerability to be vulnerable is to live in the darkness of adversities. Vulnerability “handled and embraced with prayer” is a forerunner/preface to the strength of God.

The bible is a living testimony of what happens when human weakness and vulnerability succumb to the strength and compassion of God. “God will strengthen you with his own great power so that you will not give up when troubles come, but you will be patient. And you will joyfully give thanks to the Father who has made you able to have a share in all that he has prepared for his people in the kingdom of light. God has freed us from the power of darkness, and he brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son. The Son paid for our sins, and in him we have forgiveness.” (Colossians 1:11–14, NCV)

Not only is the bible a living testimony of what happens when human weakness and vulnerability succumb to the strength and compassion of God it also is the Greatest Book of Hope of all times! Author R.C. Sproul writes.

“However, when the Bible speaks of hope, it is not referring to a desire for a future outcome that is uncertain, but rather a desire for a future outcome that is absolutely sure. Based on our trust in the promises of God, we can be fully confident about the outcome. When God gives His people a promise for the future, and the church grasps it, this hope is said to be the “anchor of the soul” (Heb. 6:19). An anchor is that which gives a ship protection against aimless drifting in the sea. The promises of God for tomorrow are the anchor for believers today.” (R.C. Sproul, page 3 “What Is Faith?” Reformation Trust Publishing)

Today when you find yourself weak and vulnerable let these words be a “Hope Anchor” for you, “God has freed us from the power of darkness, and he brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son. The Son paid for our sins, and in him we have forgiveness.” (Colossians 1:13–14, NCV)

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary
