Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
    Parson’s Branch Road and Life…

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33, NLT)

The rougher the road of life becomes the more powerful and deeper our relationships need to become. If you’ve ever been vacationing in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park you know that you’re either driving up a mountain or driving down a mountain – you also know there are a few “primitive mountain roads” that not only twist and turn but have mountain streams moving over them. One year my wife and I (against her objections) in our trusty 2000 Ford Taurus (note picture above) drove Parson’s Branch Road an eight mile sun-had-gone-down-white-knuckle-grip-on-the-steering wheel primitive mountain road – it was a very harrowing experience and once or twice the road narrowed to the point where you could not open the car door wide enough to climb out. And at another point a creek ran over the road.

That’s the way life is – one minute you’re moving down a super highway then suddenly you’re creeping, twisting, and bouncing up and down a narrow one-way mountain road. There were two things that kept us going that night on Parson’s Branch Road – we could not turn back but needed to keep going until we completed that leg of our journey and the encouragement we experienced from the tail lights of a car just ahead of us.

Again, that’s the way life is – you can’t turn around and go back but you’re never alone we have Jesus Christ and we have each other. The Apostle Paul put it this way, “For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, THAT WE MAY BE MUTUALLY ENCOURAGED by each other's faith, both yours and mine.” (Romans 1:11 – 1:12, ESV, emphasis added)

“Therefore encourage one another with these words.” (I Thessalonians 4:18, ESV) You do not walk the road of life alone but with others who love you and have written your names on their hearts. You also walk the road of life in the eyesight of God, the forethoughts of Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.

    Believe it! Experience it!
    Grace and PEACE!
    Gary

“Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed—for until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead. Then they went home.” (John 20:8–10, NLT)
