A Planting of Faith Seeds for the Glory of the LORD
Jesus defines reality…
“Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live. When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”” (John 14:19–21, NLT)
Jesus is not only real, Jesus defines reality!
“…but you will see me…”
“…and reveal myself to each of them.”
There are times when my life is like a bad dream and I find myself struggling to understand the relationship of what is real and what is reality. Perhaps you are thinking there’s no difference between what is real and what is reality and all I am doing is making a play on words. But as I consider my life where I’ve been what I’ve gone through, and where I am yet going I understand what is real as what has happened to me (the past) and what is happening to me (the present) but what will happen to me (the unfolding future) is reality.
The heart attack I experienced on November 3, 2013 was real but its reality is still unfolding day by day and because my relationship with Jesus is real (based on past and present experiences) the reality of my relationship with him will determine how it (the heart attack) will impact the days that lie ahead.
I believe that same principle can apply to your journey in life as well. Jesus is not only real but the Holy Spirit gives his life reality and is ongoing. Jesus not only lived but through the Holy Spirit he lives in your life.
Believe it! Experience it!
Grace and PEACE!
Gary
