as I said, many lawyers work on a contingency basis. If you win, they get a percentage of that win. If you lose, you don't pay anything.

Usually, the lawyer would only take the case if he knows he has a good chance of winning. His "fee" is typically about 40% of the award/damages/recovery. If he loses, it's simply the cost of doing business.Originally posted by DesertBerean View Post
